High Wycombe, an important town since Roman times, based on wool and lace, now famous for the manufacture of furniture.

Together with a theatre and cinema the town also benefits from a shopping centre offering the regular high street names in both shops and restaurants. Typically Georgian with the Guildhall at the western end and the Little Market House opposite the high street is well worth a visit if just for the architecture and the status of the red lion found in the streets.
